"For every human illness, somewhere in the world there exists a plant which is the cure. I believe that there is a healing potential locked inside plants which is integral with their evolution, just as it is part of human evolution to learn to tap this wonderful gift of Nature." ~ Rudolph Steiner

Plants help humans.

Why Botanics? Plants don’t harm humans or Our Planet. Plants help humans. All Abaca Botanics products are made from plants. Simple and harmless ingredients that can be used by anyone. Yes to plants, no to pills.

Plant based treatments have been fundamental part of human survival and remain an essential and cherished asset to health and wellness. The human body has an entire system, the Endocannabinoid system (ECS) that is fully dedicated to communicate with plant phytocannabinoids and terpenes. The ECS is the bridge between mind, body and soul - “The Human Three legged stool.”

What are Phytocannabinoids?

Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids made by plants. Phytocannabinoids or just Cannabinoids are compounds derived from hemp(or other plants). They interact directly with the brain and body cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, found throughout the Endocannabinoid system (“ECS”). There are over 120 cannabinoids. Each one of them brings a potential benefit to our health.

What are terpenes? What you smell = How you feel.

Have you ever wondered where the phrase “Stop and smell the roses…” came from? What does it mean? It is pretty simple phrase that reminds Us to slow down and enjoy life, to take the time to savor the beauty around Us, to relax. The expression stop and smell the roses came into use in the 1960s and is a rephrasing of a sentiment found in an autobiography written by the golfer Walter Hagen: “Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.” This passage was soon paraphrased as stop and smell the roses.

So what are terpenes? Terpenes are those tiny little particles that are responsible for the aroma of plants. And guess what, aroma is not where terpene benefits end, they have numerous therapeutic and health benefits. Terpenes are found not just in Hemp, but in number of other plants such as lavender, pine needles, black pepper, hops, citrus. Terpenes benefits are not far from those of cannabinoids.
